Embrace the arrival of the fall season by experiencing all that Pittsburgh has to offer! Whether you call this great city home, or are just visiting for a few days, you’ll quickly find that Pittsburgh is a rewarding place to explore- especially as the weather cools down and the leaves begin to change color. While there’s always something going on in Pittsburgh, the city truly comes alive during this time of the year- with regular fairs and festivals adding to the ambiance and excitement. No matter what you’re interested in, you’ll find it here in the ‘Burgh!

Fall Foliage in Pittsburgh is spectacular! According to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources, we are home of the longest and most varied fall foliage season, not only in the United States, but in the entire world. Combine the beautiful rolling hills that surround our community, and you’re left with stunning views for lovers of Mother Nature’s annual display of reds, oranges and golds. Not sure where to get the best views? While there are trees just about everywhere, some of the best spots include our nearly 2000 acres of parks, bike trails including the 24+ miles of the Great Allegheny Passage, and the miles of  hiking trails - giving you a great opportunity to explore all those fabulous fall colors at your own pace.

If you’re feeling a little too chilly outside, why not grab a burger, brew, or a delicious and diverse dish from any of Pittsburgh’s excellent eateries offering everything from classic American comfort food to award winning international cuisine. In 2019, Pittsburgh was named one of the top 10 destinations for foodies by BBC Good Foods, and our food scene has have been growing ever since.
